I credit that movie as a large part of what radicalized me from an early age. I watched it obsessively as a teenager and it made a huge impact on me. I wasnโ€™t drawn to Fight Club because of the fighting. It was the philosophical ideas it introduced me to. It made me understand I think on a subconscious level that something was very wrong with the world I was growing up in. I had no introduction to any philosophy growing up and that movie filled a massive void. "First you have to give up. First you have to know, not fear, know, that someday, you're going to die." Put so much in perspective for me. And some of it I strongly disagreed with, and I think that was very important too.
