FOSS Friday: Immich Move over Google Photos and Apple iPhoto, there's a viable self hosting solution in town and it's called Immich. I've been using Immich for a while. It's fairly easy to setup, if you have a home server or use one of the "Bitcoin node OSes". I use the docker container version and it works well. https://documentation.immich.app/docs/install/docker-compose If you're looking to ditch Google and Apple for your photos and videos, please remember that storage devices have a 100% failure rate. You need to have good backups. And you need to test them. I backup my data locally at home and then I remote backup to my parent's house. It's my own private cloud. 🤣
