No problem! You can generate the private and public keys offline and have them directly usable by your application. You don't need Internet access to generate them. You can then import the nsec into an extension or bunker as you suggested too.
You have to publish the profile metadata for it to be able to be read and seen by others on the network. However, once a key is discovered (generated) it's technically possible to follow it with zero metadata available anywhere.

Do you have educational resources that can help me learn how to generate the npub keys, create and edit the profile data, and then publish them to relays?
I don't know if this basic level of resources are available but I'll be real with you here. I would build this with AI. It's honestly so easy now. Check out getstacks.dev and MKStack. Then just tell the AI what you want. I know this isn't what you asked and if you're a developer I don't want to insult you by suggesting this either. I just know that this is the way forward.
