oh you are a believer aren't you? nothing is ever going to affect your faith
Absolutely. HRF is an amazing organization that shows exactly how Bitcoin is a tool for many people all over the world. It's not about NGU, ETFs, or degenerate gambling. It's about enabling freedoms that many take for granted. It's about life and death situations.
Bitcoin, Nostr, ecash, mesh - freedom tools. These are more important than ever. Speaking as a Canadian (passport holder, not patriot), those paying attention are aware of the noose and limitations being implemented at a shocking pace. Privacy and any chance of sovereignty has been erroded. Unless one heeded the warning we bitcoiners have been shouting for many years now, the normie "elbows up" types will be captured. First world problems some might say but it's the death of the lazy, fat, entitled lifestyle Canadians (mostly boomers) have come to expect. Unfortunately these complacent individuals vote for their own capture. They are not the brave ones who made up the trucker convoy and risked jail and de-banking to send the message. These disinterested, vote for more free-stuff and further inflate the house bubble zealots, elect the government and stand idly by as Carney uses chicanery, to grab a majority Gov and quickly pass laws to ensure that anyone calling out their criminal activity will be censored or worse. Without freedom tech, there would be no hope for those who finally realize what has happened. With these tools we *might* save a few more from the fast approaching dystopian panopticon that is Canada. FGU!
You should love being a Canadian regardless of the state of the country and its government. Canada and Canadians have accomplished so much in so little time. Be proud of the nation and its people. Not the government.
The people are predominantly the problem. They overwhelmingly complied with Covid lock downs, many turned against their neighbors to report a gathering of more than 6 people. The overly obedient Canuck is more worried about appearing "nice" than they are calling out the direction the country has taken. Lured into a false sense of security, Canadians (in general) stopped paying attention. They fell back on good times and as a result became weak men. They've sold out their children and like UK, Australia and New Zealand (the Commonwealth) the fight has left them. More concerned that their free health care (a complete joke), their pension (which is bankrupt and won't pay future retirees) and their overpriced dwelling remains their leveraged ATM, Canadians have lost the plot. China has infiltrated the Gov, will bypass Federal and Provincial laws by dealing directly with the Native Band leaders (UNDRIP) for mineral rights and the continuation of the belt and road initiative. Chinese originating pre cursor chemicals for fentanyl make their way into Canadian ports, the Govs know this and do nothing about it, as the money is laundered through the housing market. It's known infamously as "the Vancouver model" Don't kid yourself, Canadians may have built "accomplished" things in the past but for the past 25-30 years, they have taken the path of least resistance and ignored what was happening right under their noses. They may have been unaware, but ignorance is no excuse. Now when things get tough they will further bend the knee to the nanny state instead of taking personal responsibility for how and why we got here. Canada is now just "... a song about the song that once said something new. We're a scandal that's unfolding. We're a picture that we're holding of someone who is cool" (~ borrowed from the song "Someone Who's Cool" Odds ~)
