Lots of confusion in the replies so let me clarify:
@White Noise is an app that uses MDK to be a Marmot compatible client. White Noise isn't going anywhere, we continue to build it out as fast as we can.
MDK is a software developer kit: A library that developers who want to implement interoperable secure messaging will use to create their own apps (like White Noise or for other use cases).
Marmot is a protocol: A plain english description of HOW to implement secure messaging using MLS and Nostr. The protocol spec isn't code, it's just words describing in painful detail how it all works.

Thanks for the clarification 🙏
Is it possible to build a Discord like experience with this tech stack?
Especially, is there a possibility to have several threads within a group?
I'm still looking for a viable solution to build a hub where everyone involved in @WhyBitcoin101 can connect, but so far, I haven't found a viable Nostr based solution and don't want to compromise. So, I'm eagerly waiting for a solid solution 😀
There have been some proposals on MLS but, fundamentally, the base unit is a group. So each thread would likely be a group and there would be some higher level thing like a team or org that would organize access to a list of groups.
