Not for Bitcoin, The Superior Digital Asset, Only Shitarchists would run a node, and use Bitcoin as Money. I trust Michael Saylor, and All The Big Institutions to keep my pristine capital safe. (Jokes aside, no I do not because I am currently am unable to afford one, and the amount of Bitcoin I have is minuscule to non-existent, so if it got rugged by exchanges it wouldn’t even be worth going to small claims court over but I don’t imagine that will change in the future either since Bitcoin is a Speculative Wall Street for Collateral, realistically it would be easier to keep it on Strike/Ledn, Freddy/Frannie, so that I could use to benefit me in Fiat land while the silent Monero Revolution occurs). To me, Bitcoin is no longer a P2P cash system but a tool to be used to exploit the fiat system more easily. Bitcoin has been replaced by Monero, I do “run a monero node” since my pc is a pruned node in order to sync my wallet.

Payment targets are the current best tool available right now for monero, there are clients that enable Monero tips but I don’t think there’s a NIP for them yet, whereas Payment targets is an actual NIP. Bitcoin doesn’t face regulatory scrutiny because it’s transparent, monero is not, it will have a difficult uphill legal battle. In Switzerland, it is already money, everywhere else has to make more progress.
