It's ridiculous how ineffective and unnerving phones are, they are optimized for browsing garbage and shutting down your brain. When are we going to be able to vibecode a dumbphone with exactly the features we need? Vibecoding software is useless, give me vibecoded hardware, please. I was trying to use a dumbphone recently. It worked quite well, except that I couldn't block numbers, so I got spam-called a lot. I wish it had this one extra feature. Would also be nice to have a way to send voice messages through the internet, using some chat app, to some selected few contacts. Without having to include the entire chat app in the phone. I don't know, some very restricted features like that.

I was trying to work out why sms didnt trigger anxiety in the same way as dms and why all chat apps now are basically instant messengers but with less mental health protection - like an "away" status? can anyone explain how sms can be received by any phone number... but all the chat apps you need to be on the right app how can we recreate this using data instead of paying 10p/text and all the shitty minimum top up rules?
