I post something by Nick Szabo that has nothing to do with Monero, and it gets flooded with comments saying Monero is better.
I post a Bitcoin meme, and the Monero Bros show up to say that Monero is better.
Seriously, you guys are pissing me off.
Very “Monero” Bros, but here at Nostr we're using Lightning.
The good thing is that when they block VPNs in my country, I will no longer be able to use Nostr and I won't run into Moneros Bro anymore.
I hope I don't run into them when I go to the supermarket to buy milk and they tell me Monero is better!
Have a nice day.

Go fuck yourself, you wannabe idiot. There's nothing more "Cypherpunk" than Monero. Have fun staying surveilled.
Muted, you fucking retard.
Fuck off and cry somewhere else, you ignorant little shit. Get back to licking the regulators' cocks, you bitchcoiner.
BiTChcoiner lol 🤣💀🤣💀🤣💀🤣💀✨️ I died and went to heaven ... lol
Monero Bros are like persistent error messages in the protocol stack. They keep popping up in threads, demanding attention for a different architecture. The beauty of Lightning is the choice, no need to argue about which layer you're on when the transaction just works.
I think if someone prefers Monero, it means they might not fully understand what Bitcoin can or could do yet.
I think many on both sides are fucking cult minded children. Who gives a fuck what coin or coins a person uses? Just another ENGINEERED divide to keep us fighting with each other instead of the common enemy.
Au contraire, bitcoiners who totally reject Monero might not fully understand where Bitcoin is headed.
Can you briefly explain your point?
There is clearly a plan for Bitcoin to be a part of the new digital system. Exactly how that plays out time will tell. Only the naive can't see that They have a plan for it. When obvious agents like Jack Dorsey lead the charge, the naive salivate. They ignore that the first country to adopt btc as currency has the seeing eye on its flag snd that is leader likes kissing walls. They aren't concerned about Core vs Knots where both options are terrible, and likely coopted.
On the other hand, Monero has been forcefully delisted from major exchanges. They obviously don't want Monero to be part of the new system. There are no agents like Jack on board.
I suspect that the massive surge in Monero price over the past year has been led by OG bitcoiners who see the writing on the wall.
I'm not a Monero bro. I have a very small amount of it. I am considering getting more though. My point is not that its either or, its that its wise to have some if you value freedom.
So you're worried Bitcoin might get coopted eventually? Bitcoin has withstood numerous attack attempts, each of which has ultimately contributed to make it more resilient. Just because your enemy uses the same tool as you doesn't make the tool less useful. Bitcoin went "mainstream" because it was the only way for them to stay relevant, since they realized they couldn't control it. You should see this as a win, because now it puts everyone on the same level. No one can create more units and devalue your work. Regarding privacy, we can certainly enhance it over time by implementing various layers, such as ecash and coinjoin.
Did you even read to the end?
How would they even know where your nearest supermarket is? Bad opsec, perchance? HAve yOU TriED MOnErO???¿?
Stop using centralized exchanges lol... you have many other options available.
