For me it highlights not only that the money is broken but industry in general. When producers and merchants can transact directly, consumers benefit. Particularly true for the food/ beverage industry.

The biggest middle man here is the government. Inflation (government theft) is the biggest driver of price increase. Closely followed by corporate greed
