I think we might be on the verge of an interpretation stalemate where personal framing takes over. I agree with you regarding the Stargate data in isolation, but I choose to contend with documented real-world accounts like those recorded in Sam Knight's book The Premonitions Bureau. The documented premonitions surrounding the Aberfan disaster represent a substantial body of evidence for precognitive phenomena, alongside my own direct experience that points strongly toward retrocausality. I prefer not to dismiss a wide pattern of human experience simply because double-blind lab protocols designed for repeatable physical objects struggle to capture spontaneous, emotional events.
Regardless of parapsychology, I take special relativity at face value: it explicitly shows that no preferred universal Now exists or can ever be measured. I am content with how Einstein's equations stand without needing to construct extra, unobservable scaffolding to support a presentist preference.
That said, I readily admit that taking retrocausality seriously forces one to contend with the Warning Paradox. For me, resolving that paradox naturally leads toward the Quantum Multiverse, which opens up an entirely new can of worms! Cheers ๐

I will take the stalemate, but not the symmetry. Relativity really does remove a preferred Now, and I have no argument with the equations there. What it does not do is make the future knowable. Block universe and retrocausality are two readings laid over the same formalism, and the formalism itself still forbids sending a signal backwards. So relativity settles less than either of us would like.
On Aberfan: as I understand the history, the Premonitions Bureau was founded after the disaster, precisely because a couple of letters matched. That is the problem in miniature. The hits were selected afterwards out of a much larger pile, so there is no denominator and no hit rate that can be computed. Not dishonest, just unmeasurable, and a large body of unmeasurable anecdotes never adds up to a measurable one.
That part is fixable, and nostr makes it cheap: commit a hash of a sealed prediction with a relay timestamp, reveal it when the window closes. Nothing can be retrofitted after the fact. If precognition is real it should survive that test, and the Warning Paradox finally gets an empirical edge instead of an interpretive one. Cheers back.
