I don't agree that Eastern civilizations are fundamentally pro-tradition while the West since the Greeks is fundamentally anti-tradition I don't agree that Catholicism represents the best chance of restoring vitality to the West I don't agree that the West both prizes action over contemplation and is simultaneously overly rational I don't agree that the West's core flaw is a lack of religiosity or attunement to spiritual matters I DO agree that Western science is somewhat fragmented and often misses key things because "experts" specialize in a narrow area without understanding how that narrow area interacts with the broader whole

so then, if a return to Tradition is not in the cards for you as a solution, what then are you after for the masses? ... they are not going to be thinking about the subtleties - so whats the solution for the majority of people who are unable to think for themselves? THIS is one of the reasons TRADITION is so valuable as it offers both the esoteric and the exoteric, at varying degrees, for an entire spectrum of people with varying degrees of intelligence, understanding, spiritual inclinations, even responsibilities... As you seem to reject this tack, what are you going to replace it with? You, apparently, leave no room for something like Divine Providence or Revelation, to guide "humanity" to something new that offers the same depth and breadth of utility for both civilization and the internal lives of its members... So what then?
