You and @Liberty Gal gave better answers than the 4 cardiologists that she's seen within the past two weeks. She has another appointment on Thursday. I'll definitely tell them to test for that, though.

doctors also never really explain what they check on. could be, that they checked it but didn't tell you because its too complicated for normal people. If you really can say its no dangerous problem, (kidney, heart) then you can start with natural support. Lifestyle changes are probably always good.
arteriosclerosis is very common for older people (which also leads to angina pectoris, always depending on where the vessels are damaged) and damaged vessels cannot simply heal, unfortunately. in this case, they would put stents into the vessel.
there are many different reasons for high blood pressure. If there is a way, let them write everything down about what they tested and differentiated. get a copy of all the blood tests and stuff. a good anamnesis is golden and helps with second/third,... opinions. ๐
