i know why you did it. its the reason i'm happy to see it stop. in general i view abusing filters as bad behavior

Yes. They did for a very long time. I'm not sure if they still do as I haven't looked into it in a long while. They didn't want people's "low effort" GM notes from trending and specially banned GM and "good morning" from trending. My good morning notes almost always added more context and a positive call to action. So, I wasn't overly impressed and I altered my good morning to Ԍood morning. The special G was all that it took to get past their filter. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Perhaps. We need better algorithms and more robust clients. In time. We'll get there.

one of the viable definitions of spam is "an undesirable message that the recipient would rather not receive", right? so does intentionally routing around filters make you a spammer? 🤭
