Hmmm, but my general life ruleset has always been follow the nips.

It's true. I stopped submitting info about the kinds cornychat uses.
Making up new kinds or repurposing kinds with alternative definitions makes nostr no more brittle than it is today
But if Nostr Core makes a decision ... oh yeah, Nostr is decentralized.
