This is our friend’s bitcoin. Good people. Hard working family people. Saving for their retirement. For their kids. Money that was left for loved ones by Bitcoiners who passed away from brain cancer. Bitcoin that belongs to expectant mothers. Bitcoin from 10 years of scrimping and saving.
We must look at it, we must feel this pain and we must never ever ever allow this to happen again.

CC must reimbursement them. Their insurance should cover it and also with contributions from volunteers and good Samaritans from Bitcoin community.

Now that the weakness is leaked more hackers will come to exploit. In a few weeks every sat on a vurnerable coldcard seed will either be migrated by the owner or swept by a hacker.

@Ray Buni Does the tracker separate wallets whose seeds were generated on a Mk3 from ones that were migrated in later? That split is the difference between blaming the device and blaming the generation path.
