In the absence of law, is there any good reason for transactions to be private?

Anarchy is no ruler. Doesn't mean no rules. Private property and the respect is a rule. Bad people will always exist. Also how else would I hide what the gift for my (future) gf is if not for Monero?

In the absence of law, is there any good reason to have curtains over your windows? Maybe I don't want my wife knowing about a surprise gift I bought her. Or my grandmother knowing I bought drugs. Privacy and law have little to do with one another.

If I can deduce you have a lot of BTC, I would have reason to try to get them. Especially in absence of law.
