Bitcoin might be going to $1M... But it's not from individuals buying. It's from government and corporations buying whilst keeping citizens on fiat and determining if they are able to afford to stack bitcoin. Bitcoin failed. Change my mind.

Well if that happens Bitcoin will still be held in large part by long term holders so that is a success. Individuals will still be able to buy 100k sat utxos at a time. Not everybody uses swift or wire transfers. And if it gets to the point where only governments and corporations are buying it's still a win that they are trading in an asset without a centralized issuer and a fixed supply. Or no more bailouts and war money cannot be printed. Big win. No more inflation(or at least make it much much harder) is another big win. And in that scenario miners still mine and creating cheap energy, energy liquidity/flexibility is a big win. I'd rather have hashrate securing the network than the fear of reprisals. Tldr: sound money is better than government debt.
I think we know that since the time people only valuated bitcoin in $$ and not exchanging it for what it is .
Right "a bunch of what ifs", things that haven't happened yet, but you're preemptivly complaining? I don't get it...The worst case scenario is far better than our current system, that's the point.
Bitcoin is winning. At the end. The transition from fiat standard to Bitcoin standard can get rough and ugly for many. Since proof of work is all that matters. No matter what. That’s why humanity is going to evolve. That’s the beauty. 🧡

Another tool for war. 😢
It’s been 15 years. If we all get negative and decided it has failed then it has failed. If we stay positive and keep pushing one day at a time it can still win
No one's been able to change my mind yet... Maybe you can?

Countries and large corporations hold massive amounts of value, money, capital, whatever you want to call it. When they join the party, of course the price goes up. I’m a citizen and I have Bitcoin. No government or corporation is keeping me from buying bitcoin. Money and stores of value are gradually accepted, that’s just the way it is. There’s no way for everyone to get in at the same time. If you think that eventual global adoption means that Bitcoin has failed then, I have no reason to change your mind. You can stack fiat like the rest of the sheep.
I'm a nobody with no following of meaning. My followers here are 500× greater than anywhere else. ...and at the same time we had people like ODell etc clapping for it and happy about it gas lighting the whole community into accepting it... You can look at all my notes. There's 2yrs of me saying this kind of shit. I tried and got laughed at. Somehow this note of mine from earlier seems relevant here....

When I was in the WWE, I saw something that stuck with me...not in the ring, but backstage. There’d be a wrestler they were trying to “put over,” someone the crowd just wasn’t vibing with. You’d hear boos from the audience, or worse... dead silence. No reaction. And that’s death in wrestling. So what did WWE do? They'd pump in crowd noise. Literal cheers through the arena speakers. Sometimes even piped-in chants like “Rocky! Rocky!” - for someone the crowd clearly didn’t care for. And then I’d watch, from the monitors backstage, as the real audience started to fall in line. Like that fake reaction gave them permission to cheer. And they did. That’s when it hit me...most people don’t think with their own mind. They follow the noise. And now, I see the same trick everywhere. In politics. On the news. On social media. They play the cheer track, and the crowd claps like trained seals. Manufactured consensus. Emotional manipulation wrapped in spectacle. It worked in wrestling. It works even better in real life.

The truth is humanity is all one and requires a consciousness shift to get to the next level. This requires all of us individually to do inner work. Pointing the finger and attacking “them” keeps humanity trapped in a fear cycle. Luckily Bitcoin is so powerful that it will force people do this work. Just going to take a couple generations
I hear you. But as long as 2% of us use self custody and build a parallel economy we will win after a couple generations.
People can still stack. I did last week. Governments getting involved was inevitable. And 92% of the supply was mined before etf's went live. Plebs got a big headstart. We're not locked in here with them, they're locked in here with us. Repricing the world was never going to be easy.
All individuals can do is make decisions and act for themselves. Thinking negatively about things outside of your control prevents you from taking the action as it poisons your mind
👍 Glad you can afford to. Some of us can't even provide enough value to pay bills and the only help we get in learning actual skills is being told to watch YouTube, use Google, and ai... Nobody passes down knowledge anymore, just scrolls, posts memes, etc, and that's why the world's slowly burning away. 🤝
I’m glad we agree on the first point. As for what Satoshi wanted is speculation. I do agree that Satoshi would like that everyone on the globe have access to and use Bitcoin. However Satoshi was way too smart and calculated to believe that governments, government entities or government employees would never be allowed to hold, access or use Bitcoin. Do you honestly believe that all governments should be banned from Bitcoin? Bitcoin is for everyone and anyone. (This is more along the lines of what Satoshi wants) Bitcoin will win.
