The main problem facing Nostr adoption Iโ€™ve seen after talking to a variety of bitcoiners in person is overcoming the inertia that you described of letting go of an existing follower base. I didnโ€™t find it difficult personally, but Iโ€™m probably not the average user. The appeal of anonymity by using throwaway npubs for secure DMs is a killer app and has a completely different use case from public-facing social posts. One can still remain on X indefinitely knowing their content is stored on a centralized system and still choose Nostr for privacy over the alternatives.

Yeah, many will just be forced off. The question is whether they will consider the better solution or if they will just pick the next X because at least SOME of their followers are there. Those who choose Nostr and bring their followers with them will enjoy a self made success while everyone else will continue tp beg for handouts until they dry up once again and again.

i still need my social Media Accounts, of course you are right with your words. in Germany more and more people are censored and Accounts or Websites are blocked or blacklisted. in the next years more people will use Nostr i'm shure.
