Yes. That is definitely a thing in China. Speed traps are all over. Same to for pretty much any driving infraction. Now those cameras, the ones on the roads, they are effective. Also zero tolerance for drunk driving. Get caught and it’s 10 days in jail no questions asked. Straight to jail.
