I've configured a WireGuard VPN on my router (workstation connected via LAN cable or Wifi, makes no difference), and @YakiHonne (web version) is very slow over it. It also takes forever to load all events in it.
All other websites and Nostr clients are lightning-fast over this router.
Yakihonne (mobile) over this router is also fast.
If I disable the VPN on the router and use the same VPN provider as a desktop client on my workstation, it's faster.
Does anyone have an idea what the issue could be? #asknostr

I wonder if it has to do with the websocket protocol vs plain old http requests.
There is an upcmong version that will
fix these issues stay tuned 🙏
I also reported the same issue happening on the phone app as well. I do run wireguard + orbot and the client doesn’t load anything.
Got it Default well noted, @Sedd @npub19qcn...7xw2 can we further check whats going on from our end ?
I run the app using orbot alone on GrapheneOs and it seems to be working fine, maybe there is some sort of configuration happening in wireguard that’s causing the issue? 🤔
Hey @alp What location did you choose when you setup your VPN? I think it's due to hosting, we're working on a better solution to make the web-app accessible evenly across the globe.
you may have already considered this but AWS cloudfront or Netlify, which uses cloudfront helps to cache and deliver websites quickly from their worldwide servers
YakiHonne webapp already uses cloudfront yes, thats why I was confused why it is lagging from Alp side
Mostly European exits, rotating.
Thanks for the feedback.
Not sure 🤔 I tried amethyst and it works well. On iOS YakiHonne works well over wireguard and loads everything quickly. But I don’t use orbot on iOS bcs it’s unstable and disconnects within seconds
Try this set up on Android. Download
do the onion host in orbot with port 4869. Paste onion string to the YakiHonne.
