Yes he's correct. Source available isn't a licence recognised either as free software by the FSF or as open source by the OSI.
As its license currently reads, Anytype cannot even be legally used by everyone much less forked and distributed.
Even Skiff's license was better in this regard...

That is a good explanation. Thanks. Have you used it? What do you think of it? I started using it recently so I am new to it, but I like it so far.
Installed it once but didn't use. Since I'm working for a company and part of our operation is commercial in nature, my use of it can be illegal.
There are many #FOSS alternatives like #Joplin, #Logseq, #Appflowy, #SiYuan, #BeaverNotes, #TrilliumNotes, etc.
