I reconfirmed this morning that I enjoy shooting firearms exponentially more than I enjoy cleaning firearms.
When I was a kid, my Dad would let me take any weapon out for a session or a hike. But if it got discharged even once, it had to be cleaned and lubed before it got put back in the closet.
As an adult, finding time to shoot is hard enough. So often a weapon gets put away with the best intentions of cleaning it the following day. That rarely happens. So you end up with three or four to clean on a Saturday such as this lol.
But I must say, these Bore Snakes are the slickest thing ever. It’s nice having a few for each calibre.

I love cleaning a gun, its kinda like meditation to me. And i love the smell of gun oil, i know its weird.
Yes I hear you on that. But I still like the smell of cordite better. I need to embrace the meditative part of it more, rather than thinking about the next three tasks I want to accomplish today.
I have almost the same relation to cross country skiing vs cleaning and preparing skis.
I love cleaning them! @AMSOIL Lube-Direct

I clean mine roughly every 750-1k rounds for pistols, 2k for ar15's, and 100 for rifles. Never once had an issue on the modern guns. Older ones though can need more lube/oil, not necessarily cleaning.
How often do you?
It has lengthened out to that for sure.
I have a Glock 19 going on 5-6k. Been cleaned exactly twice.
Now my 3d printed g43x I clean every outing. Just cuz I guess.
