I hope you do it and report back! Comet 3I/ATLAS might be trying to communicate!

Lol, that's not how tropospheric ducting works. If a comet was communicating with the VHF band it'd be likely doing it by way of a satellite relay -- or just with a wild amount of power. VHF, unlike HF, doesn't typically bounce off the ionosphere, but goes right through it. That changes thanks to the charge imparted upon it by the aurora, when suddenly things start reflecting. It knocks out a lot of the HF bandwidth which is something of a bummer but it does give us some playful chaos in the VHF frequencies.
There are many things I do not know! This all seems interesting though ๐ค
I got turned back onto ham radio by @Liberty Farmer on one of @ODELL 's shows.got my technician license in some very brief studying, and am being slower abojt getting my General license, but plan to. Https://hamstudy.org and are great free resources.
It does tend to turn people into solar meteorologists due to how much the sun's interplay with the ionosphere affects propagation for HF bands.

Not needing to rely on infrastructure beyond what you deploy is a pretty sweet way to take a degree of sovereignty over your comms. And yea, while not common, you can sejd Bitcoin over radio -- though I imagine Cashu would be a lot easier and more practical. LF has Nostr set off on radio as well with his Hamstr project.
