🇸🇻 El Salvador passes bill to revise Bitcoin adoption strategy
El Salvador’s Legislative Assembly has approved legislation aimed at revising and potentially reducing the country’s bitcoin adoption strategy to satisfy the terms of a $1.4 billion loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The reform won passage with 55 votes in favor, and only two against.
The IMF specifically recommended making the acceptance of bitcoin voluntary for the private sector. This recommendation has been incorporated into the newly approved law.
The IMF’s fund facility, set to last 40 months, is expected to support El Salvador with an estimated $3.5 billion.

so far El Salvador is still packing down the Bitcoin at least a bit coin per day

Taking a loan is really no different than inflating your money. They were on their way to freedom. Makes me think Bitcoin there was more about marketing, or even a bargaining chip to get the IMF to concede to some terms.
Legislating that Bitcoin must be accepted is the type of legislation that Bitcoin is here to kill
