My bet is a lot of boomers who want to make America great again will cheer this on not realizing the sound dollar was what made America great and this is a move toward dollar death not an improvement.

yeah, this is a clear indication of how oblivious everyone is to the tidal wave hanging above them... you know that copper thing you collected and used all your life? yeah it's gone. Yes. everyone keep shuffling along and not even be bothered by the penny's mysterious disappearance... a few will ask questions and even fewer will comprehend the ramifications...
I doubt Americans will have long to get used to rounding to the nearest nickel. They already cost 14¢ to produce and it won't be getting cheaper.
