Frustrating how governments around the world bully us to jump through a multitude of bureaucratic paperwork and licensing hoops to just live our lives and voluntarily exchange with others & constantly loom threats over our heads if we even accidentally err in our tribute payments or adherence to thousands of their Byzantine rules…
YET they constantly lie to us, steal from us, misplace billions of dollars, exempt themselves from accountability, unilaterally waste blood and treasure on an unknowable number of ridiculous things we don’t want or consent to, etc
It’s not a government of the people if there’s two tiers of justice and accountability. In fact, it seems things are completely inverted from where they should be: the people should be free to live their lives privately without interference but the government should be transparent and restrained.
