This #thanksgiving be sure to fry a still frozen turkey. That way you can share the rest of the meal with the local fire department! 🤣🤣

Every Thanksgiving, I brine then sous vide then smoke the family Turducken. It’s about a 72 hour process, but wow, is it worth it! Never a dry nor flavorless bird!

Been crazy busy and offline. Checking back in on Nostr and glad to see you wonderful, crazy people are keeping at it.

When you pay for a physical copy or a Kindle version of a book, downloading an unrestricted copy from https://annas-archive.li/ makes a lot of sense.
I have a friend who might be gearing up for a legal battle about her choice to raise a few hens despite technical legal restrictions due to asinine and archaic zoning laws 🤬
These could be some of the most expensive eggs imaginable but I really respect the courage to fight for their family’s right to provide their own ethical food.
I don’t really do bumper stickers.
But If I did I’d maybe do something like “what’s the name of your farmer?”
What if everyone just secretly planted marijuana and peyote in the yards of elected officials? 🤔
Would laws change once they thought their rediculous enforcement mechanisms might affect them?

Not accepting an expired passport or ID card to verify age is pretty dumb. The person didn’t Benjamin Button and somehow get younger because they forgot to renew their compliance paperwork with the King 🙄
Most demands are actually suggestions
Get creative and do what you think is right
The amount of people that need formal permission to do anything, no matter how proper, noble, or wise, is despicable. Stop looking for permission and start living right!
People who fly in the window seat and choose to close the window during takeoff and landing so they can instead watch their phone or sleep blow my mind. Have they lost all appreciation of and wonder in life?
Seeing the remarkable world below while soaring above in the air remains on of the most remarkable things to me even if I’ve done it hundreds of times
The fact that we we allow people to be locked in cages just for having a “wrong” plant in their garden or yard is insane.
Is it illegal to search DuckDuckGo for “what is jury nullification?” or “should it be illegal to grow a plant?” 👀
If you haven’t, read a book by Joel Salatin. “Folks, this ain’t normal” is a great starter.
I bought a technical/hiking-style shirt at a big box store for like $20 and it has a little triangle microfiber cloth sewn into the inside of the front below the last button.
I first thought this was a silly, unnecessary complication but it turns out that it’s a rather useful and thoughtful addition. I now use it all the time to wipe phone screen, sunglasses, can lids, etc
Software and browser-only webapps that allow easy import and export of .json files are awesome. I love being able to save and share my work without a host’s server.
A rather slick, interoperable way to handle data across devices and applications.

I posted this and then got super super busy with life and summer activities. God has a sense of humor and loves to gently humble me. 😅

What an interesting read!
“Denying people financial privacy—whether through sweeping surveillance programs or restrictions on privacy-protecting technologies—undermines the fabric and freedoms of our families, communities, and nation. The American people and their government should guard zealously people’s right to live private lives and to use technologies that enable them to do so.”

I love Christian radio, and the 12 songs that they play! 😜
