took time off. life.
book came in.
just a proof-print. some errors, back to printers. will get new copy soon. overall, happy. came out nice. good quality cover and pages. gave enough room for maringalia (writing in the margins and notes). just waiting on the hardcover edition.
got a thinkpad.
i know. lame. but, loving it. replaced battery and ssd. ram's great though. might upgrade too. had pop_so on it. was nice. then, arch. challenged myself. my sanity. my faith. like omarchy. slick. nice gui. giving myself a week with it. see if i really like it.
so far, yes.
anyways. back.

gm. Cheers on the book. I'm a few weeks into a writing club program, determined to build the muscle.
Before I fully committed to Linux and bought a Framework, I picked up a used X1 Carbon for ~$300. Incredible machine. Now running Omarchy.
yeah, i got a thinkpad for $130. with the other updates, it'll come around $300 as well. haven't committed yet. waiting to see how much of this do i really like. i'm looking to replace my mac stuff. but the gpu on this thinkpad isn't capable of handling what i need. maybe. and it's sodered onto the mb. will figure it out.
good luck on the build!
