What does Samurai have to do with Knots?
Samourai devs were accusing Luke and Ocean that they censor CJ txs from their pooling service because their defaults were 83 bytes and Knots defaults were 42.
lazy devs, putting unnecessary data onchain. nothing else.

Well I think this is some valid reason to bring that limit higher. I don't think any CSAM can be 83 bytes.
