Nice work. It’s cool for inexpensive meals that last a long time, to do 3 gallons of a soup and freeze it in Pyrex single or double serving containers. Shy on groceries one night? Partially defrost one so you can bust out the cube of frozen soup into a pot. Place on low to 3 and walk away for a half hour while you go about your chores. Your nose will tell you when supper is ready.

I have a feeling soup making is going to be a valuable depression era skill to help people stretch their food budgets and also use every last scrap of leftovers for good use over the next handful of years.
