I am not sure. I don't know what Twitter threads are.
All sorts of different ways of structuring and displaying communication are possible on Nostr. It's just a question of whether there is a note kind already defined that would be appropriate for it, or if a new kind must be defined. Existing kinds may not support the tags and content fields you need for what you want to build, but they have the advantage that users are already posting those kinds to relays, so your new app will immediately have content to display. Defining a new kind has the advantage of flexibility in determining what sort of content and tags must or may be included in that kind, but has the downside that no one is yet using it and relays may reject it until relay implementations have been updated to support it.
