You're in the minority, and I respect the technical effort—it’s not something most users have time or interest to replicate. Solutions like Pi-hole, Mullvad, and Unbound are effective, and there are plenty of ways to mitigate tracking.
My point is that a lot of the outrage from Plex users feels overblown. Most power users grabbed a lifetime Plex Pass during a promo years ago. Jellyfin wasn’t even around until 2018, so migration wasn’t an option early on. And Plex’s watch data sharing can be disabled—it’s opt-out, not forced.
That said, I was mistaken about Jellyfin not being on Tizen OS—it’s not available there, but it is on Roku, webOS, Android TV (via Play Store, Amazon Appstore, or ideally F-Droid), Infuse and iOS - which can track data.
You have to compromise somewhere.

Just because people lack interest in their sovereignty, like yourself, does not mean giving in to the more convenient option is okay. Go get your eyes scanned because it makes buying coffee is so convenient now.
