Karp is an unreconstructed "Pax Americana" neoconservative who has somehow managed to survive, like a crocodile hiding under an iceberg, the purge of these people from Republican retail politics during the rise of Trump. Him and people like Palmer Luckey somehow get a "pass" to be taken seriously despite being vigorous supporters of disastrous American foreign policy goals.

Well yeah that's why I put the "retail" in "retail politics." In the 00s and early 10's Republicans got booed off the stage for even suggesting (as Ron Paul did) that America modulate it's agressive foreign policy stance. Now that's much less popular, at least with the masses... But I agree that the Neocon warmongers have managed to remain "in the room where it happens", so to speak, to a surprising degree in this administration. C.f. Mike Waltz who's only getting kicked out because of his rank incompetence, rather than any ideological misgivings...
