People are often negative online because it gives the impression of being clever. Pointing out flaws or sounding unimpressed can come across as thoughtful or discerning, even when it’s just reflexive cynicism.
It’s easier to criticise than to understand, but online, that difference is often taken as a sign of intelligence.
