1. 🇻🇪 Venezuelans have tried every possible path to end the dictatorship. We’ve voted, we’ve protested, we built an interim government, we sat at negotiation tables. The dictatorship has mocked us every single time.
2. On July 28th, Venezuelans voted peacefully to remove Maduro from power. Maduro stole the election, committed fraud, and unleashed even more violence.
3. President-elect González and our leader María Corina Machado have been clear: we are ready to negotiate Maduro’s exit from power — to negotiate guarantees for their departure, not to give them more time as in the past.
4. The only war in Venezuela is the one Maduro declared against his own people.
5. 🇺🇸 A U.S.-led military operation in Venezuela would be lawful, legitimate, and necessary to remove Maduro from power. This isn’t idealism — Maduro is a direct threat to the stability of the continent and to the national security of the United States.
