I've been writing, mostly in private, since I was in high school.
During Covid I started writing "in public" and have put my sweet and tears into crafting the best work I can. That means I double check and edit all my own work and, more often that not, I miss a ton of typos or clunky sentences.
AI has pretty much gotten rid of that for me.
I still write my pieces from the heart. My first drafts are raw and get my point across, but in the pursuit of excellence and time savings I use AI to refine my writing and help clean up any sentences I might have trouble with.
When I first started doing that I felt dirty about it. Like I was cheating somehow. Then I started noticing other writers pumping out content like it was unreal.
There is just no way to do it without AI assisting you. In the time it takes me to write an article without AI another writer with AI writes 4 pieces.
I think it will be safe to assume that all writing from 2025 on will be at a minimum AI assisted.
