Senate Democrats led by Sen. Tim Kaine, Adam Schiff, and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, along with Republican Sen. Rand Paul, filed a War Powers Resolution on Wednesday, directing President Donald J. Trump to cease using the military “unless specifically authorized by a declaration of war or specific authorization for use of military force,” in regard to potential hostilities - without congressional approval - against Venezuela.
