So basically, if you make the median, and do things "by the book" and save 30% of your monthly income, you need 9-10 years to save just for the downpayment. Then you pay for 30 years. Where I live, it's unlikely that the banksters give you a 30 year mortgage if you're 40 or older. So in short you have to be 25 years old and make the median income to have a shot at doing all the above.
Correct. Except you can’t actually save 30% if you earn median wage here, that’s not possible with our cost of living. There’s a Xitter account I follow @rationalaussie, he is a Bitcoiner who rages about this. Specifically that even if you’re on $200k you can basically afford a dog box 1 hour out of the city (that’s where these median prices are found - close to city is all 7 figures) so there is absolutely no point in young people staying in Aus any more, you can’t get on the property ladder so there’s nothing tying people to the society any longer. Our parasite class will keep the housing Ponzi going at all costs though - they’re all levered up with multiple houses themselves because we have capital gains laws which allow them to deduct losses on rentals.
i left australia because of the many corrupt economic setups back in 2012. i can't comprehend how anyone can live there anymore unless they are part of the parasite class, and i guess that is the thing... all the average blokes working at the factories and on the farms and mines are the ones being ridden by these pigs. people's minds are so compromised these days, they can practically walk alond and pluck your baby out of your arms and eat it right in front of you without an consequences.
yeah, i fucking hate the EU. i watched it degrade what was left of Bulgaria to shit over the 10 years since 2013, used to be a great place, now it's as bad as the rest of europe. for which reason last place i lived on in the continent was Bosnia.
Well, I think they will be satisfied once they take all your mineral wealth, fishing rights, and most fertile farmland. No need to manufacture much.
