Correct. Except you can’t actually save 30% if you earn median wage here, that’s not possible with our cost of living. Specifically that even if you’re on $200k you can basically afford a dog box 1 hour out of the city (that’s where these median prices are found - close to city is all 7 figures) so there is absolutely no point in young people staying in Aus any more, you can’t get on the property ladder so there’s nothing tying people to the society any longer. Our parasite class will keep the housing Ponzi going at all costs though - they’re all levered up with multiple houses themselves because we have capital gains laws which allow them to deduct losses on rentals.
