GM. For anyone interested in convenient tracking of their keto journey, I give you GKI Ketosis Calculator. Can be especially helpful for beginners or comebackers wanting to calibrate their keto. If you measure your blood glucose and ketones, now it's very easy to calculate and track your GKI, which tells you if you're in ketosis. It's a simple PWA offline app with some visualisation, explanation and import/export. Free and open source. I like the idea πŸ’‘πŸ‘ small suggestion though... probably not worth a dime, but... Instead creating Glucose Ketone Index (GKI), perhaps Ketone Glucose Index (KGI) would be more intuitive to read. What I mean by that is to avoid imho counter intuitive measueres like this: "Lower GKI values indicate deeper ketosis". It's like saying "the lower the number on speedometer, the faster you go". Hope you know what I mean. So, if KGI=1/GKI then "Higher KGI values indicate deeper ketosis." Anyway, just out of curiosity, where the number 18 come from?
Thanks! GKI is an already existing standard, though :) I just didn't find an app that would suit my needs. 18 is an exchange rate between two different units that are being used for blood glucose measurements.
