Can someone explain to me this whole Bitcoin circle jerk thing. Like I understood it a decade ago when it was still new, and actually revolutionary (and you could buy drugs and stuff), but feels like it hasn't really evolved much in comparison to Ethereum, where there's tons of non-financial use cases. And I respect the purity of keeping Bitcoin as a financial tool, but after a whole decade, jumping into Nostr and people are still circle jerking over Bitcoin... Am I missing something?

It's a religion and identity for many
It's like asking "why do these people keep taking about Jesus"
Without the faithful, it may not have succeeded
The same thing can be said for Ethereum and the "Etherians" (and other chains to a lesser degree). The same phenomenon can even be seen in memecoin communities.
I do think that the Bitcoin maxis have won. When it comes to store of value, "there can only be one."
The final boss for Bitcoin is Gold
makes sense, a strategy to claim that use case. religious manifestation of financial value - guess all religions do that in some way
