Linux is my daily driver but I don't see how it helps me use Nostr or Bitcoin.

Well umbrel is good for getting a bitcoin node and lightning node set up but I don't think you can run a nostr relay from there. As for a tutorial for umbrel, btcsessions has good tutorial videos on it. You can also check out this:

Just make sure to run knots instead of bitcoin core. Once you get a lightning node set up, please let me know and I'll open up a channel with you. Seriously one of the most satisfying things you can do. A lightning node opens up so many doors to do great things.

Well it's more of a change in mindset that I'm trying to get at. Folks that run Linux can (i would think) grok the sovereignty and permissionless aspect of bitcoin

can't beleive it took me so long to migrate to linux! my time on it just feels more productive now too 🙂
