Hypothetical here, UAPs are real. They have alternative power systems, free energy- somehow. Would that tech change POW for bitcoin? Would it help mining and accelerate our mining capabilities? Or would it render POW obsolete because we get free energy? Free energy would change EVERYTHING.😳

For it to truly be free energy it would have to be a generator that produces unlimited energy and transmits it without any sort of infrastructure to wherever it needs to go. Otherwise there would always be some cost. However even if it were completely unlimited and free I think PoW would still be viable because mining hardware is finite. The cost of hardware would spike as everyone scrambled to take advantage of the free energy.
Idk, would mining difficulty adjustment still be valid even? Would the rules still apply? Let's say we mine all the blocks. And now we just validate transactions. It's now the new chapter on bitcoins history. Now it's bitcoin citadel time babyyyyy!
Hear me out! You might be spot on with this statement. LK-99 is a superconductive material. So, that means, even though you would still need an external power source, like a generator of sorts, there would be no resistance to keep the electrical current flowing from rig to rig. If that is the case, then almost anyone would be able to run a rig. This is all theoretical, of course. Oh, the wonderful things LK-99 will bring us! 👀🤔
UAPs area real, that's a fact. Whether they are non-human is a heavily guarded secret at the moment. Changing algorithm for pow is doable. Free energy would be a game changer for pow but I have faith in bitcoin developers something would be developed. With free energy for everyone we would have bigger fish to fry 😂

Energy is the possibly only thing that'll never be free, if we don't die a young species then we will be out searching for black holes to capture their energy, from which everything else can be derived. In your hypothetical though, the mining network would continue to chug along at a low difficulty in scattered bunkers after humanity drives itself close to extinction with such power.
The simple act of imagining free energy requires energy, not a lot but some. Which is why I think the concept defies the essence of life itself. And even if obtained, would be dystopian, like living forever. Maybe no incentives are worse than bad incentives.
Let me put it this way. If you could get free (or realistically very very cheap, cuz TINSTAAFL) energy, price of BTC would be the last thing on your mind. Abnormally cheap energy would change literally everything.
