I've been baffled by the increased usage in the last two years. Even on Nostr, I see discussions about democracies (which don't exist). It seems like the only governments that were democracies were a few ancient city-states and pirate ships. Yet, people spout the word regularly, proving they aren't educated, or have decided to toss out what they've learned.
