Definitely a step in the right direction. I do use TIDAL, but not in the US so can't use Cash app. Regardless, positive momentum!

Yes, it's a step in the right direction. Almost every musician I know already uses @Cash App or Venmo. Cash app has the combined infrastructure of Tidal, Block, Cash App and @npub1sg6p...f63m so I have a lot of hope that these legacy tools might one day transform into tools that serve artists directly. The direct upload without a distributor is a big deal. Artist in the US have to pay to distribute their music that then don't ever get any return. It's not perfect yet, but it is a really good step forward for a legacy system.
