Cash app is a legacy system that has a huge user base in the musician community. Most every artist I know has @Cash App or Venmo. So regardless of the legacy KYC this change enabling direct (distributorless upload) and the direct payment in app allowing fans or listeners to send an artist money is a huge step forward.
