Price is not just a request for value, but it acts as a feedback signal for future content. If you have no idea what people are paying for, it’s difficult to know if what you create is worth anything. A situation where the vast majority of your content is consumed for free yield a lot of noise.

My gripe is I see SO many plebs here boosting <10 sats on posts of TOP-NOTCH content, from the likes of Max DeMarco, Julian Figueroa, and countless others.
These guys are absolutely knocking themselves out for the revolution, and getting chipped a measley 2¢
How much will 2sat be worth in 10 year? Time preference is a thing
Not much
And everyone should buy some of my art also!
Every creator since the "creator economy" began has had to have diversified income streams.
It's a good thing for us to have this - it means we never get to take one segment of our audience for granted, or coast on the rules of a centralized ad placement co like Google or Twitter.
I love the value for value model and Bitcoiners contribute WAY more on a per capita basis than any other niche that exists.
But eventually if you want to scale you will need to either mint a TON more bitcoiners/NOSTR users or convince people to contribute a lot more monthly/on-goung.
The scale factor is key. Eight billion people consciously using #Bitcoin and #Nostr knowing that their tiny expressions of value can help promote ideas, art or possibilities, and support those clients that enable it, is a base paradigm we cannot yet judge.
Market price.
Nostr is fairly novel currently. The goal would be that in years to come, with millions of users, 10丰 from 10k people would make a difference. We're not there yet.
This is intellectually lazy. Live in the now. Your 10 sat is not even a penny. It's more an insult IMO.
Let me fix the slogan: Value for value, at current day pricing, not far future "wealth".
If you believed this way, just buy $100 of Bitcoin. You'll be a future gazillionaire! 🤪
1sat = 1sat
It does 1=1. That doesn't mean it's a useful amount in singularity either, in today's reality.
If SATs littered the sidewalk, as shiny digital pennies, I wouldn't stop my day to bend down and pick it up.
