Growing up in the 80's and 90's I was used to watching a movie with ads, it was part of the deal, I got to see James Bond on a Friday night, in exchange for ads.
Fast forward 30 years and I'm paying for that same privilege, at least renting a vhs or DVD you paid, but you didn't get stopped every ten minutes for an ad. I'm slowly starting to get rid of steaming services, much to the horror of kids, and I began looking at building my own home server. Looking into how to copy DVDs though, what a rigmarole! I've got a decent library of DVDs but the process to get one on a server just looks so time consuming, compared to just putting a DVD in the same pc.
Anyway, i decided I'll just keep building out my physical library instead and found these past favourites for just $2 each at a second hand store. Also found a pair of chinos that fit perfect, $160 retail, picked them up for $10 in great condition.
