Yup, I saw that post too.
“These people are now sprinting—not jogging, not walking, but racing—to the right. Because they blame you guys for everything that just happened.” Gotta hand it to him, in the post he even answered my lingering thoughts and whataboutisms. He’s not wrong, it was politically disastrous as well this response and years of build up
Look…if many on the left decry you as a fake progressive nazi sympathizer for support bitcoin (yup, that’s what they told me personally)
Imagine what the left thinks of other things like Charlie’s free speech…
And of course I’m going to criticize my own “house” or “tribe” (or former tribe) before anything else, because I’m so deeply disappointed in them and how far it’s come

Good decent normal people on the left need to stand up and put an end to it. It’s really just that simple.
In the public I have seen it happening. Democrats speaking up against violence. I would always speak against violence. Which elected democrats did show themselfs happy about it?
I mean what some individuals do or say, is not fair to be projected on others.
I checked AOC's Twitter - crickets... Last post, just saying that shooting political opponents is unacceptable, and wishing Charlie a speedy recovery.
Bernie - same. One tweet about denouncing political violence, but already on a merry train of whining about the billionaires, health care costs,...
If you're a leader. You need to take some accountability. This is very weak, and honestly, not even believable. From the people who wished us long winter of death, and who call us Hitler sympathizers. It's a glaring lack of having any self reflection.
I think I can not beliefe in you. Taking about "From the people..."
A group of people can not be consistent. An individual can be consistent. But everyone who calls out someone else to fix it and blame others, is no part of unity. It is already dishonest asking others to stop giving unapropriate names to your party people and in the same sentence attacking them.
Those on the search for people to blame instead of blaming the shooter is dishonest abuse of the situation.
I mean what is the republican activity to deescalate? Or is just everyone agreeing, that republicans do not have this klnd of character?
