About amethyst @`Vitor Pamplona`am I the only one who has DM to appear both in messages tab and in the notifications tab as notification? And thinking about that, it would be great to also "disable" the messaging part completely even now.

Yes, and not only on Amethyst. The same thing happens in Primal and Nostrudel. I also get no notifications for auth-enabled relays, as no clients I know of have implemented a short polling model. I always assumed ghost notifications were just a Nostr thing. From my understanding, proper notification support is one of those 'way harder than it looks' problems that's still looking for an owner. Vitor wants to push this outside of regular clients, which makes sense. Actually, DMs in general could be better. For example, Amethyst is currently spamming my DM relay with irrelevant events like kind 1 (short text notes), kind 6 (reposts), kind 7 (reactions), and a gazillion other events unrelated to chats and DMs, which my relay simply rejects. This is honestly my number one frustration with Nostr clients at the moment.
